820 Squadron History: Since 1972, close to 800 young men and women have received aviation and military training in Milton as members of 820 Squadron. They have learned aviation related subjects, drill, leadership, citizenship and the value of community service.
Through regular attendance and good performance, Cadets may qualify for a number of summer courses provided by the Canadian Forces. Camps range from two weeks for newer Cadets to Leadership Courses and International Exchanges for senior Cadets. 820 Squadron is very proud that since its establishment 51 Cadets have earned their Glider or Private Pilot´s License through our programs. This is an amazing record! Many of our Cadets have moved on to careers in the military and commercial aviation.
